Headteacher's Welcome
On behalf of all children, staff, governors and trustees, I would like to warmly welcome you to our school.
We are an oversubscribed one-form entry school serving the Unsworth Community in North Manchester and are part of Vision Multi-Academy Trust. Our staff commit to providing the best education and personal development possible and – in return – we are incredibly lucky to serve such wonderfully talented and dedicated children and supportive families.
At Sunny Bank Primary, it is our core purpose to nurture the aspirations, achievements and, therefore, life chances of all pupils, so that they are able to grow and develop into lifelong learners and achieve their full potential; leading happy, healthy, fulfilled lives, contributing positively to our community and beyond.
Our core values are centred on every child:
- Feeling Happy to come to school
- Having opportunities to be Challenged
- Being Successful in their educational and personal development
- Feeling Proud of their endeavour and achievements
We want the very best for our pupils. We aim to provide a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment with high standards and expectations - an environment which encourages high moral standards, courtesy, respect and good behaviour. We are a firm believer in ‘hard work brings its own rewards’ for both staff and children alike.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum that is constantly evolving and believe in cross-curricular teaching, making connections across subjects so ‘no subject is an island’, ensuring all children have the opportunity to develop artistic and physical skills as well as academic, resulting in an enhanced understanding of the world around them.
We strive for consistent, high-quality teaching and learning to bring the curriculum to life and to ensure all children are given every opportunity to excel and shine.
By working in close partnership with parents, we will do our upmost to ensure Sunny Bank Primary School is a place where everyone feels Happy, Challenged, Successful and Proud.
Mr J Gabrielides
